Just as our skin sometimes requires a little extra attention, so does the surface of any wood furniture in your household.
Quick Tips
1.Wood needs moisture but you should thoughtfully select your polish and/or wood conditioner. Choose a wax or oil based polish and then stick with it. Your furniture's finish may appear cloudy or streaky if you alternate between the two.
2.Regular dusting will extend the life of your furniture. Use a soft, clean cloth lightly moistened with polish.
3.If you do accidentally get a stain then try a cloth moistened with a mixed solution of a teaspoon of powdered laundry detergent and a quart of warm water. Make sure to dry completely after cleaning.
Some Don'ts
1.Keep wood out of direct sunlight. The ultraviolet rays may damage the finish.
2.High heat can create a chemical change in a wood finish so use protective padding under any heated tableware.
